Technical director steps down after two-year run
Idaho Rush has announced that techncial director Rick Mullins is leaving the club after two years. Rick will stay in Boise and will
take a non-coaching position at Meridian PAL.
"After 10 years as a technical director, I have decided to make a life change," Rick said. "(The new job) will allow me to have more downtime and a better balance between work and life."
During his tenure, Idaho Rush won five State Cup titles and numerous finalists. The club also dramatically revamped the developmental structure in the Select program, adding the Elite Academy and boys and girls Aacdemy directors staff positions.
Rick will continue to coach the U16 boys Nike team at least through State Cup and will continue to work in the Idaho Olympic Development Program at IYSA.
"I would like to thank all the coaches for their continued dedication of time to youth," he said. "Your work gives kids hope, drive and a vision to be great in life. Soccer is a beautiful game we all enjoy, but for me it is not about the wins and losses but rather the ability to change a human being for life by teaching them life skills through sport."
Idaho Rush will fill the techncial director's spot in the coming weeks. Look for an announcement soon.
