|Bill Eisenwinter Hot Shot Tournament 2013|
|May 10-12 * Coeur d'Alene, Idaho|
A pair of girls teams made a big splash at the Hot Shot Tournament, each either playing up an age group or playing in a format they are unfamiliar with.
|Girls U12 Idaho Rush-Blue||U12 Girls 11v11 Division||CHAMPIONS|
|While the U12-Grey team was winning in Twin Falls, the U12-Blue team was matching them stride-for-stride in Coeur d'Alene, winning the U12 girls 11v11 division. The Blue team normally plays 9v9 in the IYSA District 3 League. Blue started with a 3-0 shutout of Sandpoint Strikers, but dropped the afternoon match to homeside Coeur d'Alene Sting. A quirk in the scheduling gave Rush a shot at redemption Sunday morning when they faced Sting again in the semifinals. The result was different this time, though, as Rush came out on top 3-1. The two matches with Sting turned out to be the toughest matches of the weekend as Rush rolled through the final 5-1 over Moscow United.|
|Girls U13 Idaho Rush-Nike||U14 Girls Silver-Yellow Division||CHAMPIONS|
|The U13s played up into the U14 age group and still came out on top, going unbeaten and unscored upon in three pool games. The girls started bright with a 6-0 win over Magic City-Silver and a 5-0 thrashing of Moscow United. The high-powered attack continued Sunday morning with a 3-0 win over Flathead Force-Green that put them into the final. The competition was stiffer in the final as the girls ran into a Kelowna United team that put 12 goals on the board in their final pool game against Helena Arsenal. But Rush's defense was up to the task as the girls outlasted Kelowna 2-1 to bring home the trophy.|
