The Idaho Rush 2007 Premier girls have paved the way for the future generations to come. The 2007 Girls were selected to compete in National League PRO series this year, which consisted of 2 play dates in Florida and Arizona. Competing against teams from Texas, Ohio, Oregon, Utah and Washington. After 7 games, the girls have clenched their spot, as group winners, and have advanced to compete for the prestigious US Youth Soccer National Championship in Orlando, Florida in July.
This will be the first time in club history that we will have a team competing for a National Championship. This is a unique pathway that the girls have taken, as normal, a team would have to win state Cup then win Regionals which would then advance them to a National Championship. Congratulations to the players, parents, and coaching staff for this outstanding achievement. We look forward to watching your journey continue this summer.
Head Coach Olly Frick says, “We’re extremely excited. It’s a goal of ours to compete and be at the highest levels as a club,” Frick said. “The group continues to break barriers and rise to the occasion. Its a true testament of the work the girls put in and the sacrifices they make to be better. It paves the way for future Idaho Rush players and shows the younger players that competing on a national level is an achievable goal if you trust in the process and the Idaho Rush Way. I think National League P.R.O. has given us the opportunity to play great competition, Challenge ourselves and it prepares us for that National Championship.”
